Harkerville Farmer’s Market
A festive gathering of visitors
The Farmer’s Market at Harkerville is open every Saturday morning. It is a festive gathering of visitors and local community alike, centred around the eating area, where people gather.
There are a variety of stalls from artisan breads, delicious cheeses, fresh organically grown vegetables and typical arts and crafts stalls.
The Bundu Breakfast is famous for their bush breakfasts and these are enjoyed in the open area atmosphere. If you are not into a carbo-loading dining experience, there are also many other more healthy options on offer for breakfast or just a sweet delicacy with a freshly brewed cup of tea or coffee.
The market also has a selection of souvenirs and curios. Local artists display their wares, and you can find every kind of cottage-industry gift that you may want to take back with you.
The market is a short drive from Plettenberg Bay on the road to Knysna. There is plenty of parking available.
To get a sample of Plett community life, be sure to stop in at the Farmers Market.
There is also a Wednesday Market at Old Nick which is also off the Main N2 National Highway, just as you leave Plett.
